A deal worth Rs 22 thousand crores between TATA Airbus plant
and Centre signed to set up a plant in UP for manufacturing C295MW aircraft
Big investment is being prepared in Uttar Pradesh under the Make in India project. As the Tata Airbus plant will be located in Utter Pradesh. According to the information, a deal of Rs 22 thousand crores has been done with the Centre. Now the Tata group will start manufacturing military aircraft in Utter Pradesh. Let us tell you that Tata Group will be the first private company in the country, which will manufacture military aircraft under Make in India. Till now the Tata group was planning to build these military aircraft in Hyderabad or Bangalore. But now the Tata group is also turning to states like Uttar Pradesh for this scheme.
Tata Company to make 48 aircraft in next 10 years
The central government has given permission to these airbuses to be used in military transport. Under this project, the IAF will get 56 Airbuses. Under the agreement with the Central Government and the Tata Group, 16 C-295 transport aircraft will come to India from Spain within the next 48 months. This is India's first defence contract agreement with a European company after the 60s. The remaining 48 aircraft will be manufactured over the next 10 years by the Tata consortium company to manufacture military aircraft under Make in India.
The plan for manufacturing C-295MW was agreed upon 6 years ago
6 years ago the central government and the Tata Group had agreed on this project. The C-295 being developed by Tata will be a multi-role transport aircraft. The maximum payload capacity of manufactured aircraft will be 9.25 tonnes. The speciality of this aircraft will be easy landing and take-off even at airports within short runways. All 56 aircraft will be fitted with made in India Electronic Warfare Suite. This project will work as a booster in the aerospace ecosystem in India.
More than 6 thousand people will get employment in this TATA Airbus plant
