The Indian Army has sent medical supplies and search-and-rescue teams to find survivors as a part of 'Operation Dost'.

Many people have appreciated this effort of the army. "They are not there for war. But to protect the people of their country and every other country in need. Big kudos to the team. #OperationDost" said a user.

The Indian Army has sent medical supplies, a mobile hospital, medical professionals, and search-and-rescue teams to dig through the rubble and find survivors, as a part of 'Operation Dost'. Pictures of the Indian Army building a hospital and then treating residents in the quake-hit area were shared by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Twitter.

Monday's 7.8-magnitude earthquake destroyed thousands of buildings while people were sleeping, trapped an undetermined number of people, and may have affected millions.

More than 21,000 people have died due to the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Officials report that 3,377 people were killed in Syria and 17,674 in Turkey, bringing the death toll to 21,051. The government has said that about 3,000 buildings, including public hospitals, collapsed in seven cities.

In Turkey, the epicenter of the earthquake, between the cities of Kahramanmaras and Gaziantep, entire rows of buildings collapsed, resulting in some heavy damage.
