Mainpuri Sainik School name changes
Sainik school of Mainpuri will be named after the country's first CDS General Bipin Rawat, CM Yogi Adityanath announces, Sainik School of Mainpuri will be named CDS Bipin Rawat Sainik School.
Paying tribute to the country's first Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has renamed Sainik School located in Mainpuri district as 'General Bipin Rawat Sainik School'.
The Chief Minister said that this would be a true tribute to the martyr General Rawat. This will inspire the youth. Let us tell you that the country's first Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat, and 12 other army officers were martyred in a helicopter crash near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu on 08 December 2021.
Sainik School in Mainpuri was started on 1st April 2019. The school was established on the basis of an agreement signed on 30 April 2015 between the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the Ministry of Defence.
