The convoy of the 46th Battalion of Assam Rifles was passing in the Churachandpur district of Manipur. Colonel Biplav Tripathi, the commanding officer of 46 AR, was leading this convoy. His wife and son were also in the car with him. Then the terrorists ambushed their convoy at 10:30 in the morning. CO Viplav Tripathi, his son, wife, and 4 jawans were martyred in the attack. After the incident, the security forces are running a continuous search operation in the area.
